Summer in the North Country is warm and pleasant. This is a wonderful time of year to get outdoors and experience all the recreational opportunities and breath-taking scenery the landscapes provide. The event calendar fills up with tons of fun for the entire family to enjoy, as well. Long-standing events not to miss include the 4th of July Parade in Colebrook, and a full lineup in August: Stewartstown Day, Sugar on Snow in Canaan, Pittsburg’s Old Home Day and of course the North Country Moose Festival!
Our region is rich with outdoor amenities, offering plentiful lakes, rivers and streams to cool off in, fish or paddle, hiking and nature trails, ATV trails, gravel cycling opportunities, waterfalls, covered bridges, parks and more.
